Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Compare Arms if already invested; keep a working Fury route

The Arms example spends 51 points (36/13/2); full gear is unknown.

Before the final talent

At low talent investment, use what is actually available; neither Whirlwind nor Shield Slam is promised as a fresh-character start. Reach the chosen branch prerequisites before expecting the final-talent loop.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For a Whirlwind trial, compare its own upgrades and relevant area/cooldown choices before adding unrelated spells. For Titan, compare maximum health and reduction together with damage. These are test priorities, not a fixed best-in-slot list.

When the route struggles

Separate wave clearing from boss damage: kill-triggered resets cannot be assumed to run continuously on an isolated boss. If you die while collecting experience, change your path or survival choice before simply increasing density.

Arms Warrior: a developed-character case study

DenaGG · published 19 October 2026 · reviewed 20 October. Exact game version and difficulty unknown; this is a player example, not our tested recipe.

The opening frame shows Arms 36 / Fury 13 / Protection 2: all 51 talent points spent, with 41/54 collection pieces. This is for players comparing an established Arms route, not a fresh-character recommendation. The player’s stated target is Naxxramas and Kel’Thuzad.

Choices, trade-offs and video timestamps
  • 00:52 · The player focuses on Cleave, Mortal Strike and Execute. At 01:51, he explains why lifesteal supports a melee character exposed to incoming attacks. 00:52 ↗ (opens in a new tab)

  • 02:57 · In this run he chooses critical damage, then cooldown reduction. Treat this as a decision in that setup, not a universal stat priority. 02:57 ↗ (opens in a new tab)

  • 05:58 and 09:28 · He compares buff duration with cooldown before investing in more duration. Our takeaway: inspect the gap in coverage before choosing the next upgrade. 05:58 ↗ (opens in a new tab)

  • 08:04 and 10:34 · Standing still and getting trapped between chests become dangerous. At 12:13 the player reports success; it does not establish a repeatable clear rate. 08:04 ↗ (opens in a new tab)

We read the automatic English transcript and checked the opening talent frame; we did not reproduce the run. Full gear and individual talent nodes remain unverified. High-tier equipment affects this example. We do not adopt the player’s speculation about the next rune’s drop odds.

Paladin: shield scaling or Exorcism

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Protection with shield support

The example combines shields, damage reduction and healing equipment; full gear is unknown.

Before the final talent

Whiter reports an Elwynn clear with Protection/Holy Shield, but a separate no-talent first attempt ended in defeat. Start with accessible abilities; shield-based endgame effects are not evidence that a new Paladin can stand still safely.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For Protection, inspect whether a choice supports health, shields or the spells you are already using. For Retribution, test Exorcism upgrades and useful offensive rolls as a separate route rather than assuming the shield plan applies unchanged.

When the route struggles

If survival is good but bosses live too long, record your actual damage options before adding more defense. Keep moving when needed; do not intentionally break shields by taking dangerous hits just to trigger the burst.

Paladin: Holy Shield needs defensive support

Whiter · Source published 14 October 2026 · reviewed 20 October 2026. Exact game version, difficulty and complete loadout unconfirmed. Player example; not reproduced by this site.

Equipment prerequisites: Whiter describes Protection with Holy Shield, damage reduction and equipment that heals. Those supporting effects matter: Holy Shield alone is not a complete setup. The explanation does not identify mandatory item names, upgrade tiers or a full talent allocation.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

07:10–07:33 · The player explains retaliation supported by mitigation and healing. Our suggestion: read the actual shield, mitigation and healing effects available to you before choosing. If Holy Shield is not offered, keep a working run rather than forcing the example. At 07:36–07:58 he explicitly describes adapting to different cards.

Failure risks

Retaliation requires surviving incoming attacks. Missing recovery, insufficient mitigation or dangerous positioning can break the idea; do not deliberately stand in a pack to imitate it. The description reports an Elwynn Forest clear, not success in every zone or difficulty.

Hunter: Aimed Shot, pets or traps

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Aimed Shot with sustain

Check the route’s talent requirements and available lifesteal / cooldown effects; exact items are unconfirmed.

Before the final talent

For a new Hunter, distinguish the base attack from the Aimed Shot start unlocked by the final talent. A wolf belongs to a talent route too; do not budget around pets you have not unlocked.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

Sigmun’s description suggests lifesteal first, then cooldown, then damage; treat that as one player’s sustain-first plan. For a pet route, compare choices whose text actually names pets. For traps, watch where they land and lead enemies through their area.

When the route struggles

Aimed Shot resets depend on kills and have a 2-second limit, so a lone boss is a different damage test from a dense pack. If enemies reach you, compare positioning and sustain rather than trying to reproduce a video’s headline damage.

Hunter: sustain before headline damage

Sigmun · Source published 14 October 2026 · reviewed 20 October 2026. Exact game version, difficulty and complete loadout unconfirmed. Player example; not reproduced by this site.

Equipment prerequisites: Sigmun recommends a lifesteal ring or amulet first, then a cooldown trinket; a cooldown ring is his fallback. Exact item names, tiers, permanent gear and talent allocation are not established. Check that you actually have the required effects before copying the damage goal.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

Player priority: recovery → cooldown → damage, with less emphasis on double casts in this setup. Our suggestion: compare a replacement against the recovery you would lose. The author says the second run is the developed example; the first is exploratory. His untested experience-trinket idea is not a recommendation here.

Failure risks

Missing recovery changes the setup: adding damage does not itself prove you can survive. Do not assume a cooldown ring has equal value to the trinket it replaces. Title damage figures are not a fresh-character target or a measured clear rate. Zone and exact version remain unknown.

Rogue: poison bursts or repeated strikes

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Build around available Sinister Strike attacks

The observed rank-2 attack reaches 7 yards; full equipment and talents are unknown.

Before the final talent

Choose whether you are working toward poison/death effects or direct strikes. Cheat Death appears in the Subtlety branch at the 10-point milestone; it is not an automatic Rogue passive, and a detour changes when your main route reaches its final talent.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For poison, first confirm that enemies actually receive the required poison or bleed effect. For Combat, compare Sinister Strike upgrades and survival/collection needs. Do not assume a critical-strike roll alone creates poison without the relevant talent text.

When the route struggles

Death bursts need something to die first. If an isolated boss is the problem, assess direct damage separately. When close-range play causes repeated deaths, fix movement and recovery before raising enemy density.

Rogue: build around Sinister Strike without ignoring reach

DenaGG · published 17 October 2026. Original description, tooltip around 00:50, damage panel around 02:00 and the author’s 19:09 boss chapter inspected. Elwynn / The Defias Uprising is visible; exact version, difficulty and full loadout unconfirmed.

Equipment prerequisites: DenaGG’s description identifies a Sinister Strike run, but the sampled footage does not establish permanent equipment, item tiers or talent allocation. No mandatory weapon, lifesteal item or minimum stat can be named from this evidence. Our suggestion: retain the recovery and defensive effects that let you stay in attack range; compare damage upgrades without simultaneously replacing your entire survival setup.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

At about 00:50, the rank-2 Sinister Strike tooltip shows a 7-yard reach, up to two targets, and priority for bosses and elites. Our suggestion: compare upgrades to this working attack against adding another ability, using your current tooltip rather than copying old numbers. Around 02:00 the damage panel includes Sinister Strike, Eviscerate and Blade Flurry: this is not a one-skill-only test or a verified card order.

Failure risks

If you remain outside the attack’s reach, more listed damage need not solve the problem; standing inside a pack to stay in range can also get you killed. Around 19:09 the Edwin VanCleef fight includes other enemies, so its cumulative damage panel is not an isolated-boss benchmark. The video title does not establish a clear rate, universal build or fresh-save performance.

Priest: spreading Pain, holy crits or Penance

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Compare Mind Flay and Lightwell separately

EP 4 starts with 25/51 points; EP 5 shows different enemy settings.

Before the final talent

The Shadowform text does not say that a fresh Priest starts with Shadow Word: Pain. Until the required spell and talents are present, do not expect a self-sustaining spread loop. Discipline and Holy provide different triggers to build around.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For Holy, compare Smite and critical-strike support because the final talent explicitly links them. For Shadow, first secure the relevant damage-over-time effect. Mind Flay and Lightwell appear in Darklight’s video titles, but their optimal role is not established by those titles.

When the route struggles

If enemies survive long enough to surround you, another healing choice may not solve the clear-speed problem. Conversely, do not remove all defense to copy a late-game clip. Record damage and survival as separate limits.

Priest: compare Mind Flay and Lightwell in separate runs

Darklight Plays · EP 4 and EP 5 both published 17 October 2026; Duskwood. EP 4 opening and early combat logs, plus EP 5 opening settings inspected. Exact versions and full builds unconfirmed. These are separate player examples, not our measured ranking.

Equipment prerequisites: Darklight Plays’ EP 4 opening shows an Undead Priest, 13/45 collected pieces and 25/51 talent points. Its equipment summary includes +59 maximum health and +0.2 health per second. These are observed starting bonuses, not minimum requirements. Exact equipped item effects and the full talent allocation were not reconstructed; this is not a fresh-character baseline.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

EP 4’s early combat log shows Devouring Plague, then Mind Blast, and later Mind Flay; Psychic Scream is visible later in the run. These observations do not make that order mandatory. Our suggestion: keep a functioning damage source, then compare the next upgrade with the specific problem—weak boss damage, slow waves or poor survival. Test Lightwell separately using EP 5 as a reference, rather than assuming both titles describe one combined recipe.

Failure risks

EP 5’s opening settings show enemy health at 125% and damage at 130%, with density and speed at 100%. Those visible settings alone do not prove the final settings of every run. Different equipment, talents and settings prevent a controlled Mind Flay-versus-Lightwell comparison. Do not assume a healing choice replaces damage, or that the title “OP” guarantees safe positioning or a boss kill.

EP 11: a developed Shadow Priest, not a fresh-save recipe

Starting prerequisites shown, not minimum requirements: an Undead Priest in Feralas, 25/54 collected pieces and 51/51 talent points. The opening equipment summary includes +122 maximum health, +21% damage and +1.2 health per second. The full Rare collection is shown after the run; it is not proven to be required to start it.

Equipment, progression and testing limits

Darklight Plays · EP 11 · published 20 October 2026; reviewed 21 October (Pacific time). Feralas / The Gates of Dire Maul. The exact recorded version and build ID could not be reliably read; this is separate from our v0.97.0 menu reference and has not been reproduced in the current version.

The post-run tree at 23:46 provides a concrete 17/0/34 allocation to inspect, but not a verified point-by-point leveling order. Around 22:00, Shadow Word: Pain leads the visible cumulative damage panel, which also contains Mind Flay, Mind Blast and Lightwell. This is a mixed setup, not evidence for a one-spell-only build.

Our testing suggestion: with comparable progression, try a Shadow Word: Pain-centered damage plan while preserving working recovery. Compare strengthening an existing spell against adding a new one based on the current card text and the problem ending your run. The sampled footage does not establish a mandatory card order or prove which damage source is best against an isolated boss.

Rare collection

At 00:00 the Priest has 25/54 pieces; at 23:15 the Collection Log shows Common 9/9, Uncommon 9/9 and Rare 9/9, with Epic, PvP and Legendary each at 0/9. “Rare collection done” means that rarity is complete for this Priest, not every item or every class.

The 23:15 menu distinguishes collected items from worn pieces: its note says only worn pieces add bonuses. Check the missing slot and its displayed drop source before choosing a farming target. The video does not establish a guaranteed drop, a fastest farming route or a collection-completion stat bonus.

Permanent progression

At 23:46 the Priest talent menu shows 51 of 51 earned points spent: Discipline 17 / Holy 0 / Shadow 34. It explicitly says respecs are free and lists time survived, kills, bosses and wins as sources of Priest talent experience, with more in harder zones. This menu does not supply an XP formula or prove the best XP-per-minute route.

Compare like-for-like saves: the opening already shows 51/51 talent points and 25/54 items. The opening reward multiplier also changes from ×1.50 to ×1.46 before entry. Do not treat the earlier settings as a fixed farming prescription or assume a harder run gives better rewards per hour.

Limits: end-of-run equipment and talents are not automatically the starting loadout. A developed save and one cumulative damage panel cannot establish fresh-save performance, a clear rate or superiority over the older Mind Flay / Lightwell examples. Keep difficulty fixed when comparing your own attempts.

Shaman: lightning, spirit wolves or totems

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Compare a supported totem route

The totem example starts with 20/0/31 talents (51 total); complete gear is unknown.

Before the final talent

Pick one branch as the initial trial. Reincarnation is a 20-point Restoration milestone, not a default safety net for every Shaman. Do not assume the Magma Totem start before its final talent is available.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

Compare lightning upgrades for Elemental, explicitly pet-related choices for wolves, or totem-related choices for Restoration. The existence of all three routes does not mean one upgrade benefits all three equally. Des provides a Magma Totem video example, not a published point-by-point recipe.

When the route struggles

For totems, observe coverage and where enemies spend time instead of assuming every spawn stays in range. For a boss, separate weak single-target damage from losing damage because you moved away from the useful area.

Shaman: a developed totem setup, not a fresh-save recipe

Des · “Shaman gameplay (Magma totem build)” · published 17 October 2026. Opening talents and early damage panels inspected; Gurubashi Arena is visible. Exact version, difficulty and complete equipment unconfirmed.

Equipment prerequisites: Des opens with 20 Elemental / 0 Enhancement / 31 Restoration points: 51 points in total. The sampled footage does not establish a complete permanent equipment list or item ranks, so no mandatory item or minimum gear score can be justified. Our suggestion: keep your existing recovery and defensive effects while testing totem upgrades; this developed talent setup is not a starting-character baseline.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

Magma Totem and Searing Totem both appear in the damage panel, alongside Lightning Bolt and later Fire Nova. This is a mixed-damage example, not proof that Magma Totem alone carries the run. Our suggestion: compare a card that improves your active totems with adding another damage source, using the current tooltip for coverage, cooldown and damage. No fixed pick order was verified.

Failure risks

Our testing advice: check whether enemies actually remain within your totems’ coverage. More listed damage may not help while you are moving away; staying inside a dangerous pack just to preserve coverage is also risky. Wave damage does not establish isolated-boss damage, and this 51-point example does not prove the same results with fewer talents.

Mage: fire chains, frost control or Arcane echoes

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Test Fire if the spells and talents are available

The reviewed opening is v0.85.0, with existing health and regeneration bonuses.

Before the final talent

The Fire menu also specifies that Hot Streak triggers a free Pyroblast on every fourth Fire critical strike, at most twice per second. That is a purchased milestone, not a general promise attached to any critical hit.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For Fire, test Fire spell and crit support together; for Arcane, inspect echo-related choices; for Frost, assess control and remaining damage separately. Keep the routes distinct while testing, rather than assuming every cast triggers the same chain.

When the route struggles

Kill explosions can make wave damage look much better than lone-boss damage. Frost control is not proof of immunity. If copying a fire video, record talent investment and permanent gear before comparing its clear speed with a new save.

Mage: an older Fire example with room for utility

Goerson · published 15 October 2026. Feralas / Dire Maul; v0.85.0 is visible in the opening menu. Equipment around 00:04–00:30 and level-9 choices around 04:00 were inspected. Historical example; current-version performance has not been reproduced.

Equipment prerequisites: Goerson’s opening menu shows v0.85.0 and 11/45 collected Mage pieces. The equipment summary includes +94 maximum health and +0.8 health per second before the subsequent loadout changes. These are observed starting bonuses, not required thresholds or the final equipped totals. Our suggestion: compare your own health and recovery before trading defensive equipment for damage.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

Around 04:00, a level-9 screen offers Polymorph, Blizzard or Arcane Explosion for the sixth spell slot. Our suggestion: decide whether you need control, damage in an area or nearby coverage before filling it. The sampled Polymorph card explicitly excludes bosses and guardians; do not select it as a boss-control solution. This Fire-labelled run does not establish that every slot must hold a Fire spell.

Failure risks

Control can help against waves without solving a boss damage check. If enemies leave an area effect, its listed damage is not guaranteed damage dealt. Do not copy old card values or assume current Ignite/Hot Streak talents were used: the full talent allocation is unconfirmed. The opening shows Normal difficulty, but the sampled evidence does not establish the final run settings.

Warlock: Affliction spread, demons or burning ground

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Compare Soul Fire with Curse of Agony on your existing character

Full permanent gear and talents in the example are unknown.

Before the final talent

Keep the three progression lines separate: Nightfall → Contagion → Seed, Summon Imp → Demonic Pact → Felguard, or Shadow Cleave → Conflagrate → Rain of Chaos. Owning some demon talents does not unlock the Affliction starting spell.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For Affliction, secure the relevant damage-over-time effects before expecting death explosions. For Demonology, compare choices explicitly supporting demons. For Destruction, watch enemy time inside the burning area. Soul Fire/Agony/Luck has a player example, but no verified universal Luck priority.

When the route struggles

If a lone boss survives, a death-explosion route may need direct-damage support; do not judge it only by how packs vanish. Our Elwynn first-clear report establishes one successful Warlock run, not its optimal talents or difficulty.

Warlock: Soul Fire and Agony, without assuming Luck is mandatory

Windowtismm · published 13 October 2026. Original description and sampled footage at the opening, around 02:00 and 20:00. Exact game version and difficulty unconfirmed; the title’s “Agony” appears as Curse of Agony in the footage.

Equipment prerequisites: Windowtismm’s Duskwood run starts in combat, so its permanent equipment and talent allocation are not established. No named item or minimum Luck value can be called a prerequisite. Our suggestion: keep your working recovery and defensive effects while testing these damage spells; do not replace them merely to match the video title.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

Around 02:00, the level-7 screen offers a Soul Fire cooldown upgrade, a Shadow Bolt cooldown upgrade, or a new Searing Pain that would occupy the sixth spell slot. These are visible alternatives, not a verified priority order. Our suggestion: improve an existing damage source when the extra spell does not solve a specific problem. Compare isolated-boss damage before investing further in Luck; its return is not measured here.

Failure risks

Around 20:00, Curse of Agony and Soul Fire lead the displayed damage breakdown during the Morbent Fel fight. That cumulative breakdown does not prove optimal boss DPS or that Luck caused the result. Losing recovery, filling the final spell slot too early, or copying an unknown talent setup can change the outcome. This is a Duskwood example, not an all-zone or fresh-save guarantee.

Affliction10 · Nightfall20 · Contagion30 · Seed of CorruptionSeed of Corruption starts with Corruption. Enemies dying while affected by your damage-over-time effects explode for 3% of their maximum health within 6 yards.
Demonology10 · Summon Imp20 · Demonic Pact30 · Summon FelguardSummon Felguard adds the demon; every demon attack also cleaves two nearby enemies for 30% of that attack.

Druid: caster/treants, bear, cat or recovery

Editorial build advice

A suggested first trial

Compare Starfire when matching equipment effects are available

The showcase is level 99 with repeat-cast and Starfire-specific equipment.

Before the final talent

Do not combine an old “Leader of the Pack” final-talent guide with the current Bear/Cat menu. The inspected menu explicitly prevents learning both forms. Decide whether you want the caster route, one Feral form, or the recovery route before planning the run.

Upgrade and equipment decisions

For Balance, compare choices supporting your actual spells and summoned treants. For Bear, observe how many enemies Swipe hits without deliberately overpulling; for Cat, assess damage and escape space. A healing-only selection still needs enough damage to finish bosses.

When the route struggles

A Starfire level-99 showcase is an advanced example, not a new-character baseline. More healing cannot create overhealing when you are continually losing health, and the Tree of Life shield has a cap.

Druid: Starfire with late-run equipment effects

Nakah · “130K CRIT Druid Starfire lvl 99 Build showcase” · published 17 October 2026. Combat and late equipment tooltips inspected; author identifies Ahn’Qiraj. Exact game version and difficulty unconfirmed; no current-version reproduction.

Equipment prerequisites: Nakah shows a level-99 Druid. The late equipment showcase includes Hand of Justice V, whose tooltip gives spells a 56% chance to cast twice, and a Starfire IX item with extra targets, damage and chaining. These are observed conditions, not mandatory items or starting requirements. The complete talent allocation and acquisition route were not reconstructed.

Read the case and its limits

Card choices and trade-offs

Our suggestion: first check whether you own equipment that actually modifies Starfire. Compare upgrades to that working spell with unrelated additions; distinguish extra targets and chaining from improvements against a lone boss. The shown repeat-cast chance does not establish how multiple effects stack. Do not add it to a summary stat to assume guaranteed repeats.

Failure risks

The author presents a late-run damage showcase, not a fresh-save progression guide. Other item-triggered damage is visible in the panel, so the headline critical hit is not proof that every hit or all damage comes from Starfire. Without comparable equipment, talents and run progress, do not expect the same output. Keep enough survival to reach that stage.

Choose a route that your current points can support

A 30-point gate means points already invested in that branch, plus the final talent and its named prerequisite. The menu still shows a 51-point total maximum. The tables are alternative routes, not a request to buy every final talent at once. No complete optimal point allocation has been established here.

Read the run in three stages

Our suggested test: early on, use available abilities and leave a safe route to collect experience; as options arrive, support one coherent spell/talent interaction; at a boss, check whether your damage depends on kills, nearby enemies, shields or a ground area. Record the actual failure before changing the next run. This is a play plan, not a guaranteed clear sequence.

When a recommended choice does not appear

Compare effects rather than chasing a fixed rarity or exact item name. If you die before your loop works, test recovery or defense; if waves are easy but a boss survives, investigate damage that does not require kills. Change one part at a time. We have not verified a universal six-spell loadout, best-in-slot inventory or reroll schedule for every class.

Troubleshoot your build before replacing it

Use this checklist after a failed attempt. It is an editorial way to compare runs, not a tested damage formula. Keep the zone and your permanent progression unchanged when comparing two choices.

You died before the build came onlineCan you actually afford the branch milestone and its prerequisite?Use the available starter route; compare a defensive or recovery choice before committing to an endpoint you cannot unlock.
Waves are comfortable, but the boss survivesDoes the route depend on kills, resets or nearby enemies?Keep a damage option that works without another enemy dying. Note whether the change improves the boss phase rather than only wave clear.
The expected upgrade never appearedIs the advice describing an effect or assuming one exact item?Choose an available effect supporting the same plan. Do not spend every choice chasing an unverified best-in-slot list.
The same setup suddenly feels weakerDid the version, zone, equipment or saved progress change?Record those differences first. Check your original entrance and save before treating the change as a balance nerf.
